What to arrange before you fly, what the airport does for you, and where a hired scooter fits into the day.
Alicante-Elche is the door to this whole coast. For anyone who cannot walk far it is also the longest walk of the trip. A little planning turns it into a manageable hour.
Three things to arrange
Ask your airline for assistance when you book. Not at the airport, not on the day. In the EU this service is free and it is the airline's duty, but it has to be requested, and 48 hours before departure is the usual minimum.
Assistance ends at the terminal door. It takes you from check-in to your seat and, on arrival, from the aircraft to the arrivals hall or your onward transport. What happens after that is your arrangement.
Decide where the scooter meets you. For most people that is the hotel, on the day of arrival or the morning after. Tell us your flight time and we will plan the delivery around it.

How do I get assistance inside the terminal?
Through your airline, not through us. Special assistance at a Spanish airport is requested when you book the flight, or at least 48 hours before departure. It covers you from check-in to the aircraft door and back again.
Will the scooter fit in a transfer taxi?
Not the Donata or the Tunder: these are full size three-wheel scooters, not folding machines. If you need something that travels in a car boot, look at the folding scooters instead. This detail follows shortly.
Is it better to have it delivered to the airport or the hotel?
The hotel, in almost every case. You arrive, you settle in, and the scooter is there the same afternoon or the next morning. The airport only makes sense if you are staying in Alicante itself and want it from the moment you land.
